Golden Gate Bridge from Baker Beach

This was taken with in 2001 with one of my Large Format cameras. I loved large format and continued to shoot LF for sometime after I switched to digital. I still marvel at these beautiful chromes.The funny thing about this location is that it is a nude beach. If you wanna see naked people run, then just show up with a big camera and plop it on a tripod!

Golden Eagle

I took this at the San Diego Wild Animal Park handheld with the Canon EF 400mm f/4 DO IS USM.

It was very difficult to support that big lens and pull off a sharp shot. I shot many frames and came away with a few keepers. It is not often that the eagles at the park are this close. This was an animal encounter where the keepers come out and stand right in front of a crowd, and show the animal. I actually had to step back to get it in focus.

I cant get over how beautiful these birds are. They look so sharp and smart, it is amazing.
